Hugoye: Journal of Syriac Studies<\/em> is an electronic journal dedicated to the study of the Syriac tradition, published semi-annually (in January and July) by Beth Mardutho<\/em>: The Syriac Computing Institute<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The word Hugoye<\/em>, the plural form of Hugoyo<\/em>, derives from the root hg’<\/em> meaning ‘to think, meditate, study’. Hugoyo<\/em> itself means ‘study, meditation’. In modern times, the term has been applied for academic studies; hence, Hugoye Suryoye<\/em> translates as ‘Syriac Studies’. <\/p>\n
